Research Abstract |
To explore candidate g:enes associated with bone mineral density(BMD) of Japanese women, we performed a genome-wide association study(GWAS) in a large community-based cohort. The study subjects were postmenopausal women without taking any drugs, having any diseases or gynecological history. The GWAS and the following analyses uncovered several candidate genes to be associated with BMD in Japanese women.
