Research Abstract |
Synaptic membrane molecules, glutamate receptors and calcium channels were ultrastructurally visualized in the calyx of Held synapse using freeze-fracture replica immunogold labeling methods. Presynaptic and postsynaptic components were synchronously localized to the synapses at the timing of the onset of hearing.
