Research Abstract |
Our novel lung surfactant (LS) preparations show following : An electrostatic interaction between phosphatidylglycerol and peptide prevents irreversible transformation for the peptide from α-helix to β-sheet structures. And added partially fluorinated amphiphiles may be useful potential additives for synthetic LS preparations destined for treatment of RDS in premature infants and in adults.
