Research Abstract |
The characteristics of the farming culture in Central Equatorial African rainforests include mixed-intercropping, shifting cultivation, vegetative crops, semi-domestication and multiple subsistence. They have accepted many new crops in their farming system. They introduced commercial tree crops including cacao and coffee in 20^<th> century and adjusted their working pattern and land use system. I tried to rethink on the present farming culture in the area in relation to state policy, commercial economy and environmental use.
