| Research Abstract |
The influence of Japanese art on Berthe Morisot has yet to be fully researched. In this study, I examine certain Japanese images sources owned by the Rouart family, descendants of Berthe Morisot, and investigate how she introduced Japanese elements into the development of her subjects, the form of her compositions, as well as her motifs. Through this, I attempt to determine the overall influence of Japanese Art on her artistic evolution.
