Research Abstract |
By analyzing novels by American minority women such as Maxine Hong Kingston and Danzy Senna, I found that gender transgression leads us to reconsider the relationship of gender and peace/violence duality and race passing to reconsider the construction of "American" identity itself, and that therefore gender and race transgression is the important theme to be explored further.
