| Research Abstract |
この研究は16世紀イングランドのケンブリッジ大学及びオクスフォード大学における学生演劇の文化史的、演劇史的意義を一次史料に基づいて再構築するものであるが、今年度は以下の研究計画に基づいて行った。
(1)文学作品の分析:Gabriel Harveyを揶揄したと思われる劇Pedantiusはケンブリッジ大学で1580年代に上演された劇だが、その劇に関する分析と、それがロンドンの文化へとどう接ぎ木されていたかということに関する分析。特にロンドンにおいてEdmund Spenserと騎士道ロマンスがどんな文化的役割を果たしたかを考察する研究計画だった。
(2)学寮及び地方都市の人脈に関する一次史料の調査を行うこと。とりわけCambridge University Archiveの裁判記録を引き続き調査し、John Fletcherに関する新史料を発見して論文にまとめる。
(3)地方及びロンドンにおける文化的環境に関する調査。それによって対象となる文学作品のコンテクストを探る。
