Research Abstract |
The concept of the perspective was defined more exactly and Japanese and German sentences were contrasted in context of this concept. This study could show that the point of view is placed in German outside the event and this event is rather neutrally described, whereas the point of view is placed in Japanese within the event and this event is rather subjectively described. Above all the tense of the verbs, personal pronouns, passive sentences, benefactive expressions were compared in German and Japanese novels and their translations and the above-mentioned differences in the mode of expression were demonstrated.
