Research Abstract

本研究は、最新の観測結果を統一的に説明する、新しいIa型超新星の進化経路を構築し、超新星の起源を理論面から解明することである。
Ia型超新星は、唯一、遠方まで達する標準光源として宇宙膨張則の決定に使われているだけでなく、銀河の化学進化においても重要な役割を果たしている。しかし、どのような星(``親星'')がIa型超新星として爆発するのか、に関しては、現在のところ決定的な結論が出ていない。
