Research Abstract |
New efficient cycloaddition reactions utilizing high reactivity of ethenetricarboxylates has been developed. Lewis acid promoted reaction of ethenetricarboxylates with substituted propargyl alcohols, ethynyl anilines, aminobezaldehydes, aminoacetals, and allenes gave nitrogen or oxygen-containing cyclic and carbocyclic compounds. These reactions represent efficient ways to construct potentially useful compounds.
