Research Abstract |
We generated a Dll3-knockin mouse, which express Dll3 instead of Dll1, and analyzed effects on somitogenesis and molecular clock mechanism. Our results suggested that Dll3 is not a Notch ligand but acts as a suppressive modulator. In addition, these mice showed segmentation of vertebral body without Notch signal oscillation, implying presence of another mechanism.
