| Research Abstract |
We constructed a system, in which the transport of sterol from the plasma membrane to the ER is evaluated in vitro using budding yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae, and analyzed its mechanism. We also construct systems to assay the sterol transport from the ER to the vacuole or mitochondria in yeast.
