| Research Abstract |
カエデ属樹木については、性転換の報告例が多い。申請者らは、ウリハダカエデの性転換について、健康状態が悪化すると雌に、回復すると雄に転換するという規則性を見出し、さらに、その性転換は、親株の樹冠下での実生の生存率を高めるために有効だ、という仮説を提示した。DNA解析による繁殖成功度の直接的測定からこの仮説を検証することが、本計画の目的である。
