Research Abstract |
Lung memory B cells exhibited the increased maturity and conferred protection against re-infected viruses by producing robust numbers of IgA-secreting plasma cells. Lung memory B cells showed the similar gene expression profile with those in secondary lymphoid organs, but several genes were selectively upregulated in lung memory B cells. Gene-deficient mice were generated to define in vivo function of one of those genes.
