| Research Abstract |
RUNX1/EVI1 is a chimeric gene that is observed in advanced-stage MDS and blastic crisis of chronic myelogenous leukemia. RUNX1/EVI1 enhances colony-forming and self-renewal abilities of mouse bone marrow progenitors. We have shown that Histone deacetylase inhibitors exhibit specific repression on these phenotypes.
