Research Abstract |
Microangiography using synchrotron radiation monochromatic X-rays allows us to evaluate small vessels of less than 100 microns in diameter. Microangiography uses contrast materials, iodine, with a K-edge feature to visualize arterial blood flow as high-contrast images. The purpose of this study was to develop an optimized microangiography system using a new two-dimensional X-ray detector and X-ray optics. Many applications are expected by the developed system.
