Research Abstract

Since both HSC4 and CAL27, head and neck cancer cell lines, expressed connexin43 mRNA but exhibit no expression at protein level, hypofunction of gap junction was speculated. In another experiment, OSC-19 and HSC-3 cell lines showed decreased IR sensitivity under hypoxic culture condition, but no significant change in connexin43 protein. No obvious relationship was revealed between connexin43 and IR sensitivity in used cell lines.
