Research Abstract

我々は人生の約1/3の時間を睡眠に費やしているが、睡眠覚醒を制御する脳内メカニズムについては未だ十分には解明されていない。しかし、近年のオレキシンに関する研究によって、その一端が明らかになりつつある。本研究は、これまでに申請者が作成した数々のトランスジェニックマウスを用いたin vitro電気生理学的解析の結果と、新手法を取り入れたin vivo解析を組み合わせることによって、睡眠覚醒を制御する神経機構を統合的に理解する。
