| Research Abstract |
Magnetism in low-dimensional nanostructures is quite different from that of bulk system. Transition temperatures from ferromagnetic to paramagnetic phases in nanowires and nanoislands are reduced to 30 K. The magnetization reversal processes are strongly shape dependent at the nanoscale.
