| Research Abstract |
本研究では、広く通信サービスに焦点を置き、サービスの垂直的な各段階におけるネットワーク外部性を考慮したスイッチングコストを計測する。ネットワーク型サービスは、加入して消費するという形が一般的であり、実証分析が可能な消費データは、加入者からのみしか得られない。従って、加入という自己選択バイアスを取り除いた計量経済モデルを構築して実証分析を行う必要がある。実際の経済政策策定上の観点からも、理論の上で確認されている点を実証的にも確認することにより、理論が実際の政策に応用可能になるようにすることが必要である。本研究では、日進月歩で進む通信市場の各レイヤー(垂直的レイヤー)のネットワーク効果を考慮した実証分析を進め、今後の経済政策に資する資料を提供することを目的としている。
