Research Abstract |
We investigated the effects of zinc and eicosapentaenoic acid(EPA) supplementation on the liver injury, fibrosis and antioxidant capacity in animal chronic liver disease model. EPA supplementation improved serum transaminase levels and hepatic oleic acid accumulation. These findings may indicate that EPA supplementation improves liver inflammation and hepatic lipid metabolism in chronic liver disease patients.
