Research Abstract |
In recent years, merits and usefulness of new types of comprehensive examinations, which evaluate examinee's performance in problem solving and task handling, aptitude for higher education, etc., has been discussed in regard to the diversification of social and educational background of applicants for admission to universities. In this research we verified validity of non-curriculum-based ability test(NCBAT) and evaluation methods for practical language proficiency which is commonly required in various fields. The results show that the NCBAT measures the examinee's abilities in a different way from conventional subject tests.
