| Research Abstract |
In this study, decomposition analysis on the change in the amount of the final disposal of industrial wastes in several prefectures in Japan is conducted. Based on the results, the effects of the waste tax on the reduction of the final disposal of industrial waste are discussed. For example, in Mie prefecture, the amount of the final disposal of industrial waste declined by 177,400 t across the introduction of the waste tax. Few factors, however, have considerable contribution to the change in the amount of the final disposal.
