Research Abstract |
In Bonin islands, it has been important problem that invasive Bischofia javanica has inhibited endemic species-growth. In the forest gap, B. javanica showed high survival from pathogenic attack, high growth through highly nutrient-uptake, and chemical tolerance against pathogens. These characteristics of B. javanica seem to be effective on invasion in Bonin islands.
