| Research Abstract |
本研究はアフリカの難民が直面している「難民状態の長期化(Protracted Refugee Situations)」にかかわる諸問題を、難民の生活現場から理解することを目的とする。そのために本研究は、難民が居住する生活空間において、1他の難民や地域社会の人びとと社会関係を構築し、2故郷でおこなっていた文化的実践を継続・変更させ、3文化や民族アイデンティティを変更する、といった実践を、困難な状況において生活を再編するための創造的な実践として評価し、その様態を解明する。そして、難民の受け入れ国定住のために実施されるべき開発=発展計画を策定するために必要となる基礎的資料を提供する。そのためにケニア共和国のダダーブ難民キャンプにおいて、難民の文化・社会およびアイデンティティの再構築過程に関する一次資料の収集を目的とした現地調査をおこなう。その際、ナイロビ大学アフリカ研究所のスタッフや、長期間共同研究をおこなってきた国内外の東アフリカ牧畜民研究者らとの協力体制を活用し、効率的に調査・研究をすすめる。また、本研究の成果は、1.学術論文、2.ホームペーシ、3.国際ワークショップ、4.最終成果報告書の形で公表するとともに、それらをもとに行政やNGOに対して提言や序言をおこなう。
