| Research Abstract |
本研究では、熱帯雨林における食物資源利用の特性を解明し、アフリカ熱帯雨林居住民の生活類型の再検討をおこなう。第一に、森林居住民による野生食物資源と農作物の利用を、意図的ないし非意図的に人間活動が森林環境にかかわる過程として同一の視座から記述・分析する。それをもとに人間活動と森林環境とのインタラクションのなかで食物資源が形成され、維持されるという点において、両者には森林食物資源としての共通項があることをしめす。第二に、狩猟採集民および農耕民を対象として、食物資源獲得への労働投入と、それら食物資源の流通・消費のあり方を記述・分析する。それをもとに狩猟採集民的な生活様式と農耕民的な生活様式との最大の相違は、利用する食物の生物的性質や、労働の先行投入の有無そのものではなく、食物資源の運用をめぐる社会関係のなかで、先行する労働投入の事実がどのように意味づけられているか、という点にあることをしめす。
