Research Abstract |
This research project explores the inclusion of the concept of "prevention" in caring for people with dementia and how it influences care practices mainly through fieldwork at day-care centers for people with dementia. First, this project reveals that introduction of new ideas in caring for people with dementia that include prevention as a key concept has an ambivalent effect on care practices. Second, this project presents the evolution of care practices for people with dementia by examining policy documents and TV programs.
