Research Abstract	本研究はアメリカで子どもの発達に関する科学的な知見の解明に着手したG.S.Hallの児童研究(Child Study)に注目する。児童研究の先駆者であるホールを中心とするクラーク大学の児童調査・研究が同大学の地元であるマサチューセッツ州Worcester市を含むアメリカ東部の公立学校における特別な教育的配慮の実践と理論の形成にいかなる影響を与えたのかを明らかにすることを全体の目的とする。
