Research Abstract

銀河の中心に存在する巨大質量ブラックホールは、宇宙が始まってかなり早い段階でその種が作られ、主に質量降着によって巨大質量に成長したと考えられている。本研究では、ほとんど理解されていないそのような物理過程を、2つの観測的アプローチによって理解することを目指す。X線強度変動に着目した全く新しい手法による質量成長中のブラックホールの探索を行うとともに、激しい質量降着を起こしている天体の詳細観測から質量降着過程の物理を理解する
