| Research Abstract |
1. Mongolian pastoralist use traditional knowledge and market under desertification.
2. There are deep differences to recognition and countermeasure of desertification between Chinese policy makers and Mongolian pastoralist. These differences bring unexpected degradation of the environment.
3. It is important to make environmental policy founded on culture and society of local people.
