Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
He formulated a most general higher curvature extension of non-local theories of gravity which describe the Starobinsky-like early Universe cosmology, theoretical and phenomenological implications of non-local gravity in the observations of cosmic microwave background and the primordial gravitational waves. He tried to explain hemispherical asymmetry of primordial power spectra with a new scheme of quantization in the inflationary spacetime. He has proposed a new construction for quantization of fields in inflationary space time which stems on the expectation of CPT violation in curved spacetime. His work naturally explains the observed (at 3.3 sigma) hemispherical power asymmetry (HPA) anomaly in the CMB. The significant aspect of his work is that he gives robust predictions to test his scheme of quantization including a non-trivial possibility for the future detection of HPA for gravitational waves. Testing these predictions would definitely boost our understanding of quantum field theory (QFT) in curved spacetime and eventually the quantum gravity. A unitary construction of quantum field theory in curved spacetime with applications to de Sitter spacetime and Schwarzchild blackhole has been done. He developed cosmology with non-local scalar fields and tried to find their cosmological implications. The derivation of tree-level scattering amplitudes in the blackhole spacetime has been done.
