Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
In the past years, we have employed 2D substrates to construct metal-organic framework (MOF)-based nanoarchitectured materials on them and have achieved excellent CDI performances.
Various 2D substrates such as MXene, ZIF-L, graphene, etc. were utilized, and we expanded this concept to other polymer systems beyond MOFs, covalent organic frameworks (COFs), and polymer-based materials such as conductive polymers.
Besides, we also realized the interweaving of PANIs among MOF-based particles and prepared PANI-MOF nanoarchitectures. This material showed great potential for CDI applications.

As per the project timeline, we have proceeded very well to achieve the final goal.

Strategy for Future Research Activity |
In the following year (FY 2022), we will plan to employ more substrates with diverse morphologies, dimensions, etc. for growing MOFs, COFs, redox polymers on them. For example, carbon nanotubes, carbon nanofibers, carbon clothes and ZIF-L rings will be interesting.
