Outline of Final Research Achievements

This study conducted a nationwide survey to clarify the current state and issues of Preparing Future Faculty Program at Japanese universities. In addition, useful teaching materials were developed and tested when each university implements PFFP. Based on these research findings, a model PFFP was also tested on a nationwide scale. Furthermore, through this research activity, an informal network of domestic universities that implement PFFP among academics was strengthened. The greatest significance of this research is that it succeeded in building a PFFP model for graduate students that can serve as the foundation for educational management.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements

教学マネジメントサイクルを機能させるためには，大学教員向けのFD，ならびに大学院生向けのプレFDを恒常的に実施し，教育の担い手の質向上に取り組んでいくことが肝要となる．しかしながら，これまで各大学におけるプレFDの実施状況や使用されている教育方法や教材について，共有されることは少なかった．そのため各大学担当者の負荷も高く，その質が保証されていなかった．本研究では，国内でプレFDを実施する大学のネットワークが構築されると同時に，方法や教材の共有もなされることで，円滑な実施と質保証に向けた取り組みが開始される機会となった．これらは，新たにプレFDに取り組む大学にとっても有益な成果である．
