Outline of Annual Research Achievements

高エネルギーニュートリノ、高エネルギーガンマ線、超高エネルギー宇宙線の三種類の高エネルギー宇宙粒子背景放射の起源について、IceCubeによるニュートリノ観測とAugerによる超高エネルギー宇宙線観測を同時に説明する「統一モデル」を一般的に検証し、理論的に許されるモデルパラメータ空間の制限を行った。超高エネルギー宇宙線については、AugerとTAによるスペクトルと宇宙線組成のデータと宇宙線粒子伝搬の計算から宇宙線エネルギー生成量を求め、宇宙線が原子核の場合も考慮した極めて一般的な結果を得た。宇宙粒子伝搬コードの開発を進めつつ、ガンマ線バースト、超新星爆発、中性子連星合体や活動銀河などのコンパクト天体で起こるニュートリノや高エネルギー電磁放射の詳細なモデル構築を進めた。特に活動銀河中心のブラックホール周囲の降着円盤やコロナからのニュートリノ放射についての新しい理論モデルを提案し、セイファート銀河などのブラックホール降着流で加速された陽子からのニュートリノとカスケードガンマ線の放射を詳細に計算するコードを開発、観測されている高エネルギーニュートリノ背景放射やNGC 1068からのニュートリノ放射を説明することに成功した。更に理論を潮汐破壊現象に応用し、潮汐破壊現象からのニュートリノとガンマ線放射の新しい理論モデルを提案した。更にガンマ線バーストの残光からの多波長放射を計算するコードが完成、供用が可能になった。MAGICやHESSによって検出されたいくつかのガンマ線バーストに適用し、高エネルギーガンマ線残光を電子からの逆コンプトン放射で説明することに成功した。

2: Research has progressed on the whole more than it was originally planned.

Reason

新型コロナウィルスの影響により、ポスドクのZhang氏の雇用が遅延しただけでなく、研究会への出席、情報収集、発表や海外研究者との共同研究に支障があったものの、ガンマ線バーストの残光からの多波長放射を計算するコードが完成するなど、概ね順調に進んでいる。

Strategy for Future Research Activity

完成したガンマ線バーストの残光からの多波長放射を計算するコードの公開を目指す。また超新星からのニュートリノ放射と多波長電磁放射を計算するコードを流体計算の結果と組み合わせて完成させ、現在および将来のマルチメッセンジャーデータの解析に使えるようにする。
