Outline of Annual Research Achievements

今年度はすばる望遠鏡HSCによる銀河サーベイ初年度のデータ(全体のデータの約10分の1)を用いた宇宙論解析、特にSDSS/BOSSの分光銀河サンプルとHSCのデータを組み合わせた銀河クラスタリング信号と銀河弱重力レンズ信号を用いた解析を行い、論文として発表した。本解析は、機械学習を用いた構築された宇宙論エミュレータと呼ばれる小スケール領域の信号を高速に計算するツールを用い、かつ銀河形成の物理の不定性は周辺化した初めての解析である。その結果、宇宙構造の凸凹の程度を表すパラメータS8が宇宙マイクロ波背景放射の測定から予言されるS8に比べて小さいことがわかった。この傾向は他の独立な銀河サーベイ(米国のDES、欧州のKiDS)と同じであり、標準宇宙論の破れが起こっている可能性が示唆されている。この成果は世界中で注目され、その結果5件の国際学会における招待講演、4件の国内学会における招待講演を行った。並行して、昨年度に作成したHSCによる銀河サーベイ3年目までのデータ(全体のデータの約半分)の銀河形状カタログを用いた解析を行った。この解析では銀河クラスタリング信号と銀河弱重力レンズ信号に宇宙論的弱重力レンズ信号を加え、HSCで観測された赤方偏移の系統誤差を保守的に扱うことによって、よりロバストなS8の測定を行った。この成果は2023年度初めに公開される予定である。
また、ブレンド画像の同定に関しては、ハッブル宇宙望遠鏡で観測された画像を用いてHSCでブレンドされた画像を作成し、それらを教師データとして学習させることで、従来の手法に比べて、圧倒的にブレンド画像の同定を改善する手法を開発した。本成果は2023年度に論文として発表する予定である。
