Outline of Final Research Achievements |
The research produced a total of 10 papers submitted to specialist international conferences and journals. Highlights of research achievements include: prototyping of a high power-density motor; demonstration of high-frequency high-efficiency inverter with voltage boost capability and excellent harmonic signature; demonstration of split-mid-^point modular inverter design with load dependent variation of effective semiconductor area for reduction of losses; parametric machine-inverter co-design to optimise the energy efficiency of a motor drive over a driving cycle.
