Control of the quantum spin entanglement with ferromagnetic nanowindow

Outline of Annual Research Achievements

固体中のスピン量子ビットの大規模化のための材料探索を行った。材料選定は次の観点から行った。
(1)材料が優れた量子コヒーレンス時間を有する
(2)高度なリソグラフィ技術を利用可能である
(3)高品質なワイドギャップ単結晶材料が入手可能である。
(4)材料規模の大規模化の観点から比較的大口径ウェハが入手可能である。
まず、クラスタ相関展開近似に基づく一般化スケーリング則を導出し、ウェブ上の材料構造データベースから12,000以上の材料について位相緩和時間を求めた。この材料は、第一原理計算でバンドギャップが1 eV以上であり、安定状態にあることがわかっているものに限っている。これらの材料の中から、同位体制御なしで位相緩和時間が1 ms以上の材料が約800材料存在することを明らかにした。そのほとんどがカルコゲナイドまたは酸化物であり、7割程度が酸化物である。これらの中で、商業的に大口径ウェハが入手可能な基板材料を用い、イオン注入後により、実際に孤立欠陥中心を作製することに成功した。熱処理条件を調べる事により、イオン注入後の元素が適切なイオン価数になり、かつクラスタなどの非孤立中心を形成しないような条件を明らかにした。共焦点顕微系を構築し、偏光レーザーによる光学検出磁気共鳴測定系を構築した。偏光レーザーを入射した際の偏光フォトルミネッセンス測定から、スピン状態に依存した発光を観測することに成功した。これは新たな欠陥中心材料のスピン量子状態の光学的初期化に成功したことを意味する。
