Outline of Annual Research Achievements

π共役高分子やレドックス活性高分子(以下、導電性高分子とよぶ)はその電荷移動特性や光学的特性、電気化学特性などから有機エレクトロニクスやエネルギーデバイスへの利用が期待されている。一方で、これらのデバイス実装を目指す上での成型プロセス(製膜・微細構造)は発展しているとは言い難く、有機エレクトロニクスの実現に向けた導電性高分子を配線する技術やエネルギーデバイス用に高表面積微細構造を作製する技術が必要とされている。本研究では、導電性高分子の合成とその効果的な成型プロセスまでを一貫して意識した新しい方法論の開発を目的とする。
具体的には、(1)モノマーの電気泳動効果を利用した高密度導電性高分子シリンダーの創出、ならびに(2)導電性高分子の薄膜状自発成長の方向制御、について課題を設定し、前年度までに(1)については一定の成果を得た。
本年度は、主に課題(2)について検討した。昨年度までに、バイポーラ電解重合における電解メディアとしてイオン液体や高濃度電解液を用いる検討を行っており、低電解質濃度系と同様に、導電性高分子のファイバーや薄膜の自発成長挙動を見出していたため、網羅的に検討することにより、イオン液体系でのバイポーラ電解重合に関する研究成果を論文発表するに至った。濃厚電解液系でのバイポーラ電気化学についても同様に進めており、電解室濃度と溶液物性の相関ならびに電解重合速度との関係について知見を蓄積することができた。
