Outline of Annual Research Achievements

本研究で製作している野辺山45m電波望遠鏡用の新7ビーム3帯域両偏波受信機は、受信機設計、受信機部品の仕様策定を行い、マルチビーム受信機の仮組を行った。
野辺山45m電波望遠鏡と既設の4ビーム両サイドバンド両偏波受信機FORESTを用いて、JCMT望遠鏡搭載のサブミリ波カメラSCUBA-2で同定された分子雲コア107個を含む44領域のOn-the-Fly方式のマッピング観測を行った。野辺山45m電波望遠鏡による観測で重水素の割合が観測されているコア(Gwanjeong Kim, Ken'ichi Tatematsu, et al 2020)を中心に、82-94GHzの周波数帯に輝線のある分子N2H+、HC3N、およびCCSの輝線を観測した。N2H+分子およびHC3N分子の輝線の天球上での分布は、850μmのダスト連続波の分布に似ていることが明らかになった。CCS分子の輝線は、検出されないか、または、検出された場合は850μmのダスト連続波のピーク位置を取り巻くように分布しているということが明らかにされた。「星ありの分子雲コア」に関し、12%の分子雲コアで原始星の方向でCCSが検出されたが、これは原始星付近の高い励起によると考えられる。乱流の散逸は星形成の始動メカニズムの一つの候補と目されているが、分子雲コアの進化に従って非熱的速度分散が変化している様子は観測されなかった。このことは、星形成の始動条件として、乱流の散逸があまり効いていないことを示唆するのかもしれないと考えられる。

Reason

新型コロナ感染が広がっている状況の中ではあるが、受信機の開発はおおむね順調である。2020 年度末に開発の若干の遅れのために、調達を遅らせるための繰り越しを必要としたが、2021 年度中に受信機設計、受信機部品の仕様策定を行い、マルチビーム受信機の仮組を完了し、2021年度末の時点で当初計画通りになっている。
野辺山45m 電波望遠鏡を用いた研究の方は順調であり、野辺山45m 電波望遠鏡の既存受信機を用いた、重水素の割合の高い分子雲コアの電波地図集を研究代表者を筆頭著者とする査読論文として出版した。
アルマ望遠鏡を用いた追観測も、極めて順調であり、ALMASOP 国際共同研究としてすでに10 本以上の査読論文を出版している。

Strategy for Future Research Activity

3 年目の2022 年度は、受信機を野辺山45 m電波望遠鏡に搭載し、立ち上げ・試験観測を行う。

4-5 年目の2023-2024 年度には、星形成の規模が大きく異なる、我々の銀河系内の代表的な星形成領域、おうし座、へびつかい座、オリオン座、赤外線暗黒星雲のサーベイ観測を行い、その違いを分子雲コアの進化を追いつつ比較研究という新しい切り口で研究する。またアルマ望遠鏡を用いた高分解能・高感度followup観測を提案遂行する。
