Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
The development of nanowire devices integrated with a microheater (Microheater - ZnO nanowire device) as nucleic acid detection platform using in situ annealed Serinol Nucleic Acid (SNA) probes was demonstrated. First, the microheater could constantly generate suitable heat was confirmed. Second, the use of SNA-MBs to detect target ssDNAs specifically was confirmed. By combining the unique properties of ZnO-NWs and the microheater, the integrated device could detect target ssDNAs using in-situ annealed probes was confirmed. This confirms that this microheater-ZnO-NW device will be applied to fundamental studies related to nanobiodevice-based DNA detection.
