Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
We successfully engineered a novel chemical library based on monomers coming from sustainable sources to delivery mRNA drugs to the lungs after systemic administration without targeting ligands. Interestingly we submitted: 1. A patent through Hokkaido university (Japanese Patent, Application No. 2021 007461,Hokudai No. P2020 126 TP01) 2. A research paper was submitted to the journal of Materials Horizons (IF= No. MH COM 02 2021 000185 We received the reviewer comments and resent the revision.

Current Status of Research Progress |
Current Status of Research Progress
1: Research has progressed more than it was originally planned.
Reason
Although we are at the time of COVID-19, we were able to finish the whole synthesis and screening. Additionally we finished the patent work and submitted a paper. Furthermore, we expanded the synthesis and another library is being synthesized
|
Strategy for Future Research Activity |
We intend to expand the design of chemical space, integrate AI and adapt high throughput screening methods to engineer the next generation personalized gene therapies for infectious diseases, cancer immunotherapies and neuromuscular disorders.
