Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
Considering the English test for Japanese native speakers users. At present, the conventional testing site is 90 percent complete. With over 9000 items and banks of answers created for each item. The remaining 10 percent includes adding to answer banks and add a few hundred items. The meaning-recall test has been used by over 1200 users and the form-recall test has been used by over 1000 users. By the end of June, we hope to be able to make the listening meaning-recall test which is being developed to be made available to the public. Regarding the Spanish test for English English speakers, the meaning-recall, form-recall, and listening meaning-recall tests can be used by the public.

Current Status of Research Progress |
Current Status of Research Progress
1: Research has progressed more than it was originally planned.
Reason
Despite the COVID virus we have worked hard to ensure our research is moving forward as planned.
|
Strategy for Future Research Activity |
This month, the principal investigator is presenting at conferences to increase the use of the test among teachers in Japan. This is critical to ensure enough data is collected. We are working on the last 10% of the item stems, and completing the listening meaning-recall test.
|
Causes of Carryover |
We were not able to conduct as much piloting as we hoped as our campus was closed due to the COVID virus.
