Outline of Annual Research Achievements

We have created a freely available convectional vocabulary levels test. The site allows teachers and researchers to created levels tests based on different word lists, band sizes, starting bands and finishing bands, and sample size ratios. The levels tests completed can be written-receptive meaning-recall tests, spoken-receptive meaning-recall tests, or written form-recall tests. The testing site have been used by 703 teachers or researchers. 1,000s of tests have been completed. From the over 1,000,000 question responses we are creating a difficulty based lists for the New General Service List. We have created a stepped Computer Adaptive Test. Test takers sho demonstrate mastery of one band are then moved on to the next band of the test until the students lexical level is established.
