Outline of Final Research Achievements |
The results of this research can be summarized into two main points. First, we used the historical diary of a mason who lived in a mountainous region to clarify his subsistence and way of life in relation to family events, such as childbirth and family illness during the 1920s to World War II.Secondly, the study clarified that the recognition by landowners of the value of users and use itself as one of the factors that enabled people to use mountains and waterfront areas in connection with their subsistence and way of life in the 1920s and during the period of rapid economic growth.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
本研究成果の意義は、以下の二点にまとめられる。 第一に、茶・山葵・穀類などの生産から焼畑、草や薪の採取と運搬など生業の具体的内容を明らかにしつつ、家族構成員別の生業への関わりやケアの関係を、家族の外側の家々との関係性を踏まえて動態的に明らかにした点である。 第二に、人的支配関係とは異なる、「価値の承認」を媒介とした関係性(土地所有者との関係や自治体との関係など)に注目し、そのことを通して生業や生活に必要となる土地利用が可能となったことを明らかにした点である。
