Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
This has been a productive year for this project. One of my papers on Anglo-Dutch Auctions got published as the leading article in the December issue of the Japapanese Economic Review. My paper on Philippine treasury-bill auctions was invited for a resubmission to a top field journal in economics and finance, and I also presented my work at numerous conferences. In parallel, our work on collusion (on the Epic Fail) paper has yielded new and unexpected results: we have obtained a formula which allows us to link some structural parameters from our theoretical model, to easily observable market data (such as market shares). With this expansion, our paper is likely to have much wider applicability and interest across a variety of economic settings.

Current Status of Research Progress |
Current Status of Research Progress
3: Progress in research has been slightly delayed.
Reason
Though the my paper on the Anglo-Dutch auction got published, the other papers from this project are still either under review, or revision. In particular, the revisions othe Epic Fail paper (on collusion in multiunit auctions) are taking longer than expected. However, this is largely due to us finding new results, which significantly expand the scope of the paper. We are therefore optimisitc that these amendments will lead to a successful publication path.

Strategy for Future Research Activity |
The mose immediate plan is to complete the revisions of the paper on treasury bills, and resubmit it to a top field journal in economics and finance. Thereafter, my focus will be on expanding the paper on collusion, to produce reivsed draft which covers both the previous reveiwers' concerns, as well as our new findings.

Causes of Carryover |
Plan is to use funds for payment of publication costs, conference-related travel, as well as other research-related expenseses (such as hardware and software).
