Outline of Final Research Achievements

This study analyzed storytelling in small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and explored its practical challenges. Among the multiple elements necessary for effective storytelling, "specific episodes" and "personal experiences" were found to be key. By fully utilizing these elements, SMEs may be able to do more effective storytelling than large enterprises.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements

ストーリーテリング（物語として語る）という手法は近年多くの学術分野で注目され、企業経営に関する研究分野でも関心が高まっている。しかし、その実践的課題についての研究は不十分な状況にあり、とくに中小企業を対象とする研究はほぼ皆無である。大企業に比べてイメージや認知度で劣位にあるといわれている中小企業において、自社をどのように語っていくのか、いかにして自社に興味や関心を持ってもらうのかは切実な課題である。このため、中小企業におけるストーリーテリングの実践的課題を調査分析した本研究の成果は、既存研究の不足を補うという学術的な意義があるとともに、中小企業の活性化に寄与するという社会的意義があるといえる。
