| Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
(1) Research data collection, analysis and publication activities all proceeded smoothly in the final year.
(2) The depth of data collection and analysis was further enhanced with continued frequent contact online (individual and group) and face-to-face meetings with Dr. Billy O'Steen (UC Community Engagement Hub Director, University of Canterbury, New Zealand) as well as other tertiary institutions providing service-learning education.
(3) Three overseas research trips were made possible--two trips to the University of Canterbury, New Zealand and one to the 10th IAFOR International Conference on Education in Hawaii, U.S.A. The first trip to New Zealand in 2023 was conducted to update data collection and to finalize collaborative material for the planned online research resource homepage as well as the service learning program for Japanese univesrity students. The trip to Hawaii and the second trip to New Zealand were for research presentation and networking purposes, both of which went extremely well.
(4) Material collected via online discussions, international and domestic visits and a thorough review of the up-to-date literature has been analysed and used to produce research output by way of two research articles and two research presentations in 2023.
