Outline of Final Research Achievements

This study aimed to identify educational strategies that effectively enhance awareness of filter bubbles. Specifically, the study examined the applicability and limitations of methods such as “media analysis,” “media production,” and “thinking about how media should be.” To conduct this research, teaching materials were tailored for teachers experienced in fostering media literacy. These teachers were then asked to integrate the teaching materials into their lessons to gauge their effectiveness. The findings underscored the effectiveness of educational methods such as “media analysis,” “media production,” and “thinking about how media should be” in cultivating awareness of filter bubbles.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements

本研究の目的は、「フィルターバブルを意識できる能力」を育成するために、どのような教育方法が有効なのか明らかにすることであった。研究の結果、これまでメディア・リテラシー教育で採用されてきた「メディアを分析する」「メディアを制作する」「メディアのあり方を考える」といった教育方法が、「フィルターバブルを意識できる能力」を育成することに適用可能性であることを確認できた。本研究の成果は、学術的な意義だけでなく、教育現場における実践的な知見となりうるものであり、社会的な意義があると考えられる。
