Outline of Final Research Achievements

Using KeTCindy, an integrated teaching material creation system, we have developed inquiry-type HTML teaching materials that help students understand the essence of basic mathematical concepts. Since it is not possible to respond to subtle changes that identify the essence simply by inputting geometric points or moving sliders, we improved the system so that even subtle changes can be observed by entering numerical values and formulas. In addition, it was confirmed that input errors could be reduced by repeatedly inputting formulas.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements

日本における数学教育は知識偏重型から論理的思考型へ移行しているが,新しい教育方法に準拠した教材が開発されていない.特に,数学的概念の本質を理解させることが重要となるが,この本質的理解を促進する探求型教材がほとんどない.本研究で開発した探求型HTML教材は,学生個人がスマートフォンやタブレット等で自由に使用できるため,数学的概念の本質を学生個人のペースで探求でき,現状の教育改善に役立つといえる.
