Outline of Final Research Achievements

The purpose of this study is to clarify the educational significance of mediation techniques, which involve cooperative and creative problem-solving among parties, and to develop educational programs and materials that can be easily taken up in school education and civic education. Six video materials were created as a teaching material: three videos of five characters acting out a failed discussion, a successful discussion, and a mediation. Another three videos with chapters were created. The educational significance of the mediation technique was analyzed by conducting two sets of online mediations with three role-players. As a result, the affordance of zoom and devices for the mediator and two participants were found to be two layers. Especially, it was found that auditory sensory was afforded more than visual sensory.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements
